November 3, 2022 - Looking Back

After being in a relationship for six years, I decided it was time to move on. Every relationship has its moments and ours was no different. We both were okay with letting go, but our love for each other would never go away. 🥹

I spent the evening enjoying a gorgeous sunset, the moon was posted behind me, and the sounds of the water filled my heart. It was a time for reflection and gratitude. It was truly bittersweet; we shared so many great times. This breakup was really tough.😫

The time had come for me to embark on a whole new experience with so many unknowns. I didn’t have all the answers and that was okay.  Everything was going to be very different.

San Diego, California forever has a place in my heart. Our relationship was like no other. The six years living in “America’s Finest City” were filled with an abundance of great experiences and talk about the outdoor life that I had - cycling, hiking, photography, yoga, etc… How would I ever match that? San Diego and I was such a perfect couple. (I’m sure I’m not the only one that views San Diego as a love. LOL)

My mind was racing with questions, but this moment wasn’t the time for all of the mind-jibberish. This was my last night in the place that was home. The place that calmed my mind from the stressors of my daily grind.

Soon, I was calm. Seriously, how could I not be calm as I stood alongside my Jeep enjoying the evening on the beach. I flew my drone to capture a few more of these picturesque and beautiful views. The night was closing in and I would be hitting the road bright and early the next morning.

With a deep sigh, the time had come. Darkness covered the beach and I headed home for the last night in Diego.

Thank you San Diego, California! It was a relationship that I’ll always treasure.
