In this video, I hike the Perseverance Trail, explore Ward Lake in the Tongass National Forest, and spend rainy days discovering the quieter details of the island — from marine life to cruise ships arriving in town. Along the way, I observe black bears, juvenile bald eagles bathing, and spend time wandering around the island.
